Q How would you describe the TACS process at a high level? back to top
A TACS acts as the check book for the supplier. TACS acts on the payment instructions, (commission payment details)from a supplier, based on the supplier's preferred payment frequency.

Q What currencies can TACS create payments? back to top
A We pay in the local currency of 40 different countries. Please refer to our currency list for more details.

Q What are the configuration requirements for using TACSnet? back to top
A You must have the Shockwave plug-in installed to view TACSnet. If you are a member of TACSnet and wish to log in, you must also have cookies enabled and javascript turned on. This site is best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 and higher or Netscape Communicator 4 and higher. At this, time AOL's embedded browser is not supported, we apologize for any inconvience.

Q Why am I unable to login to TACSnet? back to top
A If you are new to TACSnet, your initial password will work only the first time you log in. At that time, the current user will be prompted to change the password. This new password will be the one you use from now on.

Also, the password is case sensitive, so please be that sure you use the proper case when typing in the password.

Q Can I submit data in a currency other than U.S. dollar? back to top
A TACS currently accepts data in over 90 currencies.

Q How do I pay TACS for the agency commissions? back to top
A TACS accepts remittance via local currency debit, Ach credit push and wire transfers. Local currency debits are available in the following countries: U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland. The debits are initiated within the country specified timing from invoice creation. All amounts and details are provided on an invoice viewable online at TACSNet.com and are presented via email or fax as well. Unfortunately, checks are not permitted.

Q How do I report my commissions to TACS? back to top
A There are manual entry and PMS interface software packages available. Certain PMS systems are designed to provide an export file containing the agency detail. This data can be imported into CentralPayment.com Some PMS systems may already have a pre-configured layout for the TACS processing system.

Q To which PMS companies does TACS interface? back to top
A TACS services simplify commission data management by easily importing reservation data (including extended stays, shortened stays, no shows and cancellations) directly into turnkey Web-based applications. TACS is constantly seeking ways to upgrade our services and is continually adding new Property Management Systems (PMS)mappings. A sampling of PMS companies TACS currently accepts data files from: AREMIS, AUTOCLERK, DATAMATE, FIDELIO, GEAC / Galaxy, GP DATI, LANMARK, LIBICA, MAI's HIS and CLS, MEDALLION, RAMESYS/IMAGINN

Q What happens if I send a payment to TACS and then decide that I don't want it paid? back to top
A You can contact our TACS Customer Service and request that a transaction be deleted. It is very important that you call TACS immediately so the transaction can be removed from the processing system. Adjustments for the value of the payment will be applied on the next payment transfer. It is very important that you review and verify all details of the transaction before transmitting to TACS for payment. TACS cannot ensure that all payments can be removed or reversed.

Q Are agencies charged a fee to receive their payment? back to top
A Agencies do not have a sign a contract or belong to TACS. As such TACS makes payment to the agencies for the full amount the supplier intended the agency to receive.

Q Can I select the currency in which my commission is paid? back to top
A Typically your local currency is used to pay commissions. If your currency is not available for payment, we will issue the payment in U.S. Dollars, or you may select a different available currency. Please refer to our currency list for more information.
